A typical Waltham Forest cycle lane of the sort which is going to generate 3,000 extra cycling trips in the borough every day this year, and then 3,000 more the year after, and every year after that until 2026, when the Mayor’s target of a 5 per cent modal share for cycling will have been achieved across Greater London.
