Consistently brilliant!

The London Borough of Waltham Forest is committed to

Improving the condition of the pedestrian environment across the borough by removing obstacles to walking such as removing unnecessary street clutter and maintaining a litter and graffiti free walking environment.

And according to the Audit Commission, when it comes to the environment, the Council is

Performing well – consistently above minimum requirements

And who could possibly doubt it?

The three snaps below show
(i) sensitively sited signing (for motorists) on the pavement by the Crooked Billet
(ii) the beautifully maintained covered crossing for pedestrians and cyclists over the M11 Link Road near Leytonstone tube station
(iii) the state of the footway for wheelchair users on Langthorne Road E11 (approaching from Goodall Road and unable to use the steps).
