A sequence of events
A continuous white line and double-yellow line 'no waiting at any time' restrictions ensure that this cycle lane on Wood Street E17 remains exclusively reserved for cyclists at all times.
Note, too, the London Borough of Waltham Forest's scrupulous attention to ensuring that pavements are kept free of unlawful obstructions by traders.
And pay attention to that white van on the right...
Yes! It's a London Borough of Waltham Forest van illegally entering the Advanced Stop Line at red. The driver works for the library service, so I expect he's transporting important walking and cycling leaflets to one of the local libraries. Obviously they couldn't be delivered by bicycle, because 40 per cent of them don't have any cycle stands. (I didn't get its details - I was too busy trying to stay alive.)
One of the Council's commitments in its Climate Action Plan is "Promote better driving techniques to individuals in Waltham Forest." Bless.
