Council van blocked cycle path, cyclist injured

A cyclist is demanding highways bosses pay for his damaged bike – after a Lancashire County Council van blocked a Preston cyclepath and caused him to fall off. Stuart Kowalski, of Farington, Leyland, claims the LCC-marked Transit van blocked his route on Riversway (A583) while he was training for a charity ride. It forced him to enter the road facing oncoming traffic. As he returned to the cyclepath, he hit a kerb and fell off his bike.
