There’s a suggestion that cyclists might one day be allowed to use one-way streets ‘the wrong way’.

Brian Gregory, of the Association of British Motorists, said: “It’s sheer lunacy. It’s already bad enough with cyclists ignoring traffic laws, but encouraging them to do it will create carnage.”

A Daily Mail reader adds

If any cyclist travels towards me on his bike in a one way street or on the wrong side of the road he had better be ready to get out of the way as my 4x4 will make short work of his bike if he runs into me. I won't even feel it.

I know you can get a spray for removing dead insects from the front of your 4X4 but can you buy one that removes cyclists?
