Bloody great potholes are bad news for both cyclists and powered two-wheelers. In the case of cyclists you run the additional risk of being run down by an overtaking vehicle as you swerve to avoid them. I blogged about this pothole ages ago but neeedless to say this crap council has done nothing. It hasn't even got to the stage of putting a white line round it, which is the first indication that the matter will eventually be attended to. If you have a bad experience here, sue the council. They are guilty of gross negligence.
And apart from the hazard of the hole, vehicles which run over it help to erode it even further by spraying gravel over the road surface, which is further bad news for cyclists. Sturge Avenue E17, close to the junction with St Johns Road.
