Perhaps Sustrans should have added 'and park' to the end of their enthusiasm for this street: The design of Leytonstone High Street is cycle and pedestrian friendly, while also allowing motorised traffic to pass through.
And in case you were wondering, there is technically no such street as 'Leytonstone High Street'. Unlike Sustrans, this blog pedantically prefers to use the names on street signs and maps.
