Another design classic

Our local council has been working hard to improve access to buses for the less mobile amongst us - wheel chair users for instance - by building raised kerbs at bus stops. Here's one on the A367 between Radstock and Peasedown St. John, Somerset.

Note the beautifully laid rectangle of tarmac behind the raised kerb so that users can get on and off their bus with little difficulty. Note, also, the surrounding terrain.

And the bus stop is 100 yards up the road.
