New church decoration
Walthamstow's oldest church, dating back to the twelfth century, is St Mary’s. A window in this historic building has recently been enhanced by this attractive notice.
This sign is fully in keeping with local church traditions, as each Sunday people gather in this ancient building to celebrate car dependency and exhibit religious indifference to pedestrians.
The church website has contact details if you want to congratulate Simon on both his devout commitment to the material world and his aesthetic sensitivity as steward of this building. You could also ask him why the church does not provide cycle stands.
