A horrifying innovation

Now, bicycles are entitled to a whole traffic lane. Cars and trucks are to follow in single file at 14 km/h, average speed of a commuting cyclist. The environmental advantage of a bicycle pretty much goes up in blue smoke when it is leading a long parade of motor vehicles at 14 km/h. Horse-drawn buggies were faster.

There is also a question of fairness when multiple motorists are held up on their way to work by one cyclist with no licence, no insurance, no brake lights and no road taxes paid.
