Two speeding footballers

Arsenal midfielder Alex Song has been fined by police for speeding in Radlett.

The 23-year-old was clocked travelling at more than 50mph, in a 40mph and then a 30mph zone, in Watling Street, in the early hours of Thursday, February 16.

The Cameroon international was forced to hand over his license and had his personalised Range Rover seized by police, shortly after midnight.

And why was that?

The 23-year-old was pulled over for speeding in Radlett but drove away from police after allegedly refusing to give his details.

Police pursued him
and seized his car.

This wealthy menace received the traditional painless slap on the wrist:

As well as a £60 fine, he was handed three penalty points.

Meanwhile

England and Chelsea footballer Frank Lampard has been banned for driving at more than 90mph on the A3 in Surrey.

Lampard had admitted speeding in a 50mph zone in his Range Rover at Claygate at a previous hearing.

The British judicial system doesn’t require anything so inconvenient as a speeding psychopath having to turn up in court.

He was banned from driving for 90 days and fined £850. Lampard was also ordered to pay £2,300 costs.

Incidentally there are 14 news articles about Lampard’s speeding conviction and 99 news articles about Frank and his airhead ‘celebrity’ girlfriend spending a few days in Paris.
