Inconsiderate constructors




















There are roadworks up ahead on Hoe Street. So where better to put a warning sign for motorists than in the cycle lane? (Between Grove Road and Granville Road)

(Below) This random cone left behind by a contractor has ended up in the cycle lane on Hoe Street close to the junction with Albert Road. As you swerve to avoid it you have to hope that the driver coming up behind you is paying attention and understands you'll be swinging out, and isn't distracted by a conversation on a mobile phone.




















(Below) This is lethal. A collapsed roadworks sign protrudes into the ASL and cycle lane on Hoe Street at the junction with Orford Road.




















On the gates of Walthamstow School for Girls is this sign, boasting that this is a 'Considerate Constructors' site.




















Ironically, in the road by the 'Considerate Constructors' sign is this roadworks sign, pointlessly placed in the road and a hazard to cyclists who have to swerve round it on a relatively narrow and busy road.
