Blaming the victims – road safety news update

Cyclists were invited to get behind the wheel of a lorry in a bid to stop a spate of recent accidents.

Lambeth police organised the event on Streatham Common on Friday, October 1, after a number of road traffic accidents involving bikes, including four in the same morning in Clapham on September 24.

“Cyclists are advised to wear a protective helmet and reflective clothing and to ensure they have front and rear lights on their bicycle.”

Especially on sunny days. Because out there, there are drivers who find it very difficult to see cyclists, including lorry drivers.
