Two pedestrians run down and killed

A POLICE crime scene officer died yesterday after being hit by a vehicle as he made his way back from a night out.

Neil Smith, 32, of Dundee, had been out in Perth on Friday and was returning to a friend's house in St Madoes, near Kinfauns, Perthshire, when he was struck on the A90 Perth to Dundee road.

Meanwhile, a boy of 16 was killed in a separate accident.

He was thought to have been trying to cross Dundee's Kingsway East at 1.30am yesterday when he was hit by a blue Citroen Xsara Picasso cab.
