In the courts
A HUSBAND has spoken of his anger after a hit-and-run driver who left his wife dying in the road was jailed for just eight months.
Michael James Lundstram fled the scene after his uninsured car hit cyclist and mother-of-five Susan Griffiths. Instead of calling for help Lundstram, of Llandudno, hid in bushes while Mrs Griffiths lay on the road in Dwygyfylchi for 15 minutes with serious head and facial injuries. The 47-year-old died later at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.
Lundstram was previously banned from driving in 2009 and had no insurance at the time of the offence.
He was also disqualified for two and a half years for failing to stop at the scene of an accident and having two defective tyres on the Mondeo.
