More scenes from a world class cycling city
Scenes like these are typical of my daily experiences at major road junctions in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
(Above) The A112 southbound at the junction with the Crooked Billet/A406. The fourth car from the camera is positioned opposite the entrance to an off-road cycle lane. The absence of a continuous white line makes it perfectly legal for drivers to enter and obstruct the cycle lane.
(Below) Fulbourne Road E17, junction with the A503. The silver car in the ASL is indicating a left turn. Note the generous width of the pink cycle lane in the foreground and the absence of any white lining to indicate its boundary. The red car in the ASL is turning right.
