Yet another driver ‘loses control’

A CAR mounted a pavement, knocked down a pedestrian and ploughed into a Hampshire florist’s shop.

The blue Mazda, driven by an 83-year-old woman, went out of control and ended up embedded in the front of The Flower Shop in Fryern Arcade, Chandler’s Ford, at 11.42am today.

It’s a complete farce that the only person who has to verify that an 83-year-old is fit to drive is the 83-year-old. But the Brown government, like all governments, wants as many people as possible to drive cars and wouldn’t want to upset the motor trade.
