Two more cyclists hit by lorries

Last Thursday:

A cyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a lorry in Hove.

On the same day

A cyclist was seriously injured in a crash involving an oil tanker in Aberdeen. The 20-year-old woman, who is from eastern Europe but lives and works in Aberdeen, was involved in a collision with the tanker as she cycled near the Garthdee roundabout between South Anderson Drive and Holburn Street. Detectives last night said the woman remains in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary having been taken there in an ambulance under police escort last Thursday. Officers are appealing for anyone who saw her blue bike and the silver DAF articulated tanker in the minutes before the crash.

And in what sounds very much like a case of excessive speed, in a single vehicle only crash

A lorry driver was taken to York Hospital after his wagon overturned on the city's bypass.
