Road rage machete driver

An irate man brandished a machete and hacked at a car with three people inside in a rush-hour road rage incident Thursday on the Queensway, police say. Ontario Provincial Police said the 38-year-old suspect "became displeased" with the slow driving of another car driving westbound on Highway 417 through Ottawa.

Richard Laurin, of Richmond, Ont., is charged under the Criminal Code with three counts of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, causing a disturbance by screaming, and mischief under $5,000.He is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with following too closely.
