100% safe cycling
























It's true that cycling in London is getting safer all the time. For example, here on the A112 in Waltham Forest the traffic was at a complete standstill last Friday. And with lots of cars having drifted into the very generous one-metre wide cycle lane, I wasn't going anywhere either.

There is nothing safer than a road where nothing is moving. Even cyclists without helmets are in no danger when completely stationary. And conditions like this can only discourage people from cycling, which will undoubtedly result in a drop in cycling casualties, which again is something to celebrate.
