Going Dutch on Station Road, Chingford

What a mess Station Road in Chingford is. This is a main shopping street. The very wide pavements are a monstrous mess, filled with clutter. The streets are choked with cars and parking bays. It would be very easy to clean-up this street, get rid of the clutter, and install segregated cycle paths on the Dutch model, with lashings of cycle parking. But street-design here in outer London is a toxic disaster. And there is no political will to turn things round.
