It provides a convenient short cut between the High Street and Selborne Road, as well as free parking for drivers who prefer not to pay to park in the underground car park. Well done Waltham Forest for removing the bollards which used to prevent vehicle access! All drivers welcome. And if any pedestrians get knocked down, well they should look where they're going. Next thing you'll have people grumbling that pedestrian zones should be just for walkers. Some people are never satisfied.
