Dangerous cycling

Bristol Traffic quite rightly draws attention to the danger posed by cyclists using mobile phones.

I myself recently encountered this dreadful example of a cyclist riding along with only his right hand on the handlebar, in the middle of Piccadilly. His left hand held a mobile phone to his ear and he was engaged in conversation.

Worse still, just look at that unsuitable hat. What kind of protection does that offer in the event of a collision?

Look carefully and you will see that only one of the cyclists in this photograph is wearing British Safety Standards approved headgear. Shocking. Someone needs to get to the bottom of this.
