A 12-year-old boy has been killed by a 4X4 driver in Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire.
Connor Roche was enjoying a sunny evening out with friends after going on a school trip when tragedy struck. The Huxlow School pupil had spent the day at Warwick Castle and had gone out on his bike that evening to enjoy the hot weather, when he was struck by a passing car.
He died at the scene after suffering serious head injuries.
Connor Roche, 12, from Eastfield Crescent, Finedon, was one of a small group of boys cycling along the A6 near Finedon Road junction when he was hit by a passing Land Rover at about 8pm on Wednesday.
