Another London hit and run

Another symptom of the Metropolitan Police’s massive reduction in traffic policing in London and the judicial system's leniency towards hit and run drivers:

A six-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being dragged 60 feet under the wheels of a van.

Ehsaan Haque was knocked down when he got out of his uncle's car in east London. Witnesses told how he was struck by a “speeding” blue van, whose driver fled after realising the boy was badly hurt.

“He drove for about 60 feet with the boy under the van. He continued for a further 90 feet after the boy became free at which point he stopped and walked to where the victim was lying. He then ran back and drove off.”
