Cycle lane and footway obstruction by builders
(Above) This dedicated off-road cycle lane between Beresford Road and Roberts Road E17 - part of the exciting 'London Cycle Network' - also doubles as a facility for storing large quantities of building materials. Saturday.
(Below) This builder's van is completely blocking the footway for anyone with a wheelchair. How often do the parking attendants check Browning Road E11, I wonder? (No cycle stands in this historic part of Leytonstone, needless to say, so note the bike locked to street furniture.) Friday.
(Below) Builders have dumped a vast sack of sand on the footway on Browning Road (and managed to spill lots of it as well). In the London Borough of Waltham Forest builders get away with breaking the law every day of the week - a testament to the council's longstanding failure properly to resource its inspectorate.
