Car dependency in Sandbach

Riders say they have been left with no designated place to leave their bikes after the old racks on the cobbled Market Square were removed and never replaced following the extensive renovation.

Fields Drive resident and keen cyclist Ken Crawford said: “I am beginning to think this town has something against cyclists.

“We are trying to help reduce the town’s frequent gridlocked traffic problem but there seems to be precious little encouragement.”
