Bike the E17 art trail
It’s that time of the year again when all over Waltham Forest creative people open up their homes and gardens for displays of art. Yes, the E17 Art Trail is now a permanent fixture, and is becoming famous. Check it out on Facebook and follow the links on this blog. And what better way of zipping around the borough than by bicycle? One of the sculptures in the garden of the Vestry House Museum (above) brilliantly gets inside the nightmarish inner life of a typical Waltham Forest cyclist.
I was very impressed by number 87 on the Art Trail - various sculptures by Owen Bullett, Mikey Georgeson and Mark Sowden.
Someone left the cake out in the rain...
At the Vestry House museum you can find this special installation entitled 'This museum only has one cycle stand and it is by the trade waste container.'
Overflow cycle parking is available by the bins opposite.
Not in the Art Trail catalogue. Talented local duo Chris & Clyde have put on more of their year-round 'Waltham Forest, truly a place of beauty' installations all over the borough. This one can be visited on Howard Road.
