Bike Week: Your questions answered

Can you explain the meaning of the continuous white line?

The white line is there to separate pedestrians and cyclists on this Waltham Forest off-road infrastructure known as ‘the quiet route to Chingford’ which runs between Empress Avenue E4 and Cavendish Road E4. Cyclists must at all times remain in the two-way cycle path to the right of the white line, while pedestrians must stay to the left of the line.

To assist cyclists in finding their way through the undergrowth, special cycle signs are painted on the jungle floor.
