Cyclist damages bus and causes fire engine to block road and delay traffic

POLICE closed a road in the city centre when a bus was badly damaged following a collision with a cyclist.

The male cyclist was taken to hospital by ambulance following the collision outside The British Heart Foundation charity shop in Sidwell Street yesterday afternoon.

Police temporarily closed the road and set up traffic diversions in both directions while they investigated the collision.

A fire engine was also called to the scene
and blocked the road while paramedics attended to the cyclist.
