Steven Rodway, 38, from Brentwood, was cycling along Ongar Road near the Passingford Bridge roundabout, in Stapleford Tawney, when he was involved in a collision with a silver Ford Puma. He died at the scene from his injuries.
A 20-year-old woman from Brentwood and a 21-year-old man from Loughton have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
