Canada: punishing the victim
A cyclist and the motorist who hit him both received tickets from the RCMP on Saturday. Police say a 30-year-old Campbell River woman failed to yield after stopping at Evergreen Road and McPhedran Road. Her vehicle struck a cyclist. The cyclist, a 47-year-old Campbell River man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The woman was issued a ticket for failing to yield after a stop. The cyclist was given a ticket for failing to wear a helmet.
