Council criminally negiligent?

A SHATTERED family have slammed council bosses over the death of a mum who slipped on an icy pavement. Isabel McCulloch, 55, lapsed into a coma after she banged her head on an ungritted path. Last night her children Douglas, 23, and Donna, 26, revealed the council put salt on the path hours AFTER Isabel's death.

Last night, Douglas said: "My mother fell in a busy route near a school. This could easily have happened to a child. If the council should keep any pavement clear, it was this one. They only salted the pavement on Thursday after my mother had died. But by then it was too late." Donna said: "We will be making sure the council are held to account for this."
