Contempt for walking and cycling

The pavement on the left leads through the churchyard of St Mary's. It's a major walking route, used every day by hundreds of people. And this was its condition yesterday. After four days the council still couldn't be bothered to put any salt or grit down and the surface remained icy and treacherous. And not a single dedicated cycling facility anywhere in the borough seems to have been salted, gritted or swept.
