A cyclist whose life was ruined by a ‘careless’ driver

Tara Butterfill, 32, suffered a severe traumatic brain injury which has left her permanently disabled, unable to work, and clinging to her furniture to move from room to room.

She was riding her bicycle along a road in Littlehampton when she was hit on the back of her head by a wing mirror three years ago.

And the driver?

Mr Poole was fined £200 with six penalty points by Worthing Magistrates on August 2008 after being convicted of careless driving.
