Cyclist and pedestrian killed in Sussex

A Hove woman who died while riding her bike in Brighton has been named as Joanna Walters.

The 28-year-old was cycling near the underpass in Lewes Road when she was struck by a delivery van at around midday on Tuesday.

She died of her injuries.

and in nearby Eastbourne:

A woman died last night after she was struck by a BMW 4X4.

The 60-year-old was walking across Lottbridge Drove, Eastbourne, near the junction with Willingdon Drove.

The incident happened shortly before 4pm on Wednesday.
