Two cyclists hit by lorry drivers

A cyclist, who police believe is aged between 65 and 70 years old, was on the A133 close to Elmstead Market, near Colchester on Tuesday afternoon.

He was struck by a red Mercedes flat bed lorry and is in a serious condition in hospital.

The 35-year-old lorry driver from Harwich was arrested at the scene and later released on police bail.

A MANSFIELD road was closed after a 60-year-old man was knocked off his push bike by a lorry carrying a skip.

Police were called to the incident at around 2.40pm
after the man and lorry were involved in the collision on Westfield Lane.
