Why are cycle signs to Hackney always pointing in the opposite direction to the real route?
Because Hackney is a veritable Shangri-la for cycling and every effort is being made to deter cyclists from other boroughs from discovering this two wheel nirvana and clogging up the streets with yet more bicycles.
Arnold Circus E2 (first pic). The sign should be directing cyclists in the opposite direction, down Palissy Street (second pic). It’s no different in Waltham Forest, where this sign has now been misdirecting cyclists for 13 months.
