Hit and run driver

Liverpool Crown Court heard Jordan, 27, had failed to see Mr Bond, despite the fact he was wearing a high-visibility jacket and helmet.

He smashed into him at the junction of Westminster Road, in Kirkdale. But Edmund Haygarth, prosecuting, told how he sped away from the scene. He then sold his car the same day.

The news story says nothing about the length of any driving ban, though presumably one was imposed. The punishment was, as you'd expect from the British judiciary, of the featherweight sort.
