The war on the motorist has just taken an ugly new turn:

Phil Barton, Chief Executive of Keep Britain Tidy, called for littering from a car to be made into a motoring offence worthy of one point on a driving licence.

Speed cameras, over zealous parking attendants, road humps, and now this – is there to be no stop to this relentless persecution?
