Cyclist killer gets 3 months ban, £150 fine

The life of a cyclist is more or less worthless. And reckless killer drivers walk away from the courts with risible punishments:

A VAN driver was disqualified for three months yesterday after admitting his driving had caused the death of a 21-year-old licensee's son as he cycled to work at Knaresborough Golf Club. Harrogate magistrates heard how Carl Holdsworth's Mercedes Sprinter hit Thomas Jacobs from behind as he rode along Minskip Road, Boroughbridge, early on November 5 last year.
