Bathroom collides with Alfa Romeo in accident

A couple in their 50s were lucky to escape unharmed after a car careened through their front fence and into their bathroom. The smash, in Kent Street, Ascot Vale, in Melbourne's north-west, left the woman driver in hospital and a second car badly damaged.

Police said the the 28-year-old driver lost control of her Alfa Romeo about 9.45 last night, striking a parked Ford Falcon and crashing through a front fence and into the house.The car came to rest in the couple's bathroom as they sat in their lounge, police said.
