Alan has been out enjoying the local scenery and discovering some exciting local cycling and walking infrastructure.
I feel duty bound to point out that if Alan and his companion had kept going and crossed the junction with Forest Road they would have come to this magnificent ‘shared use’ provision on Woodford New Road (below). Yes, crap Waltham Forest council can’t even be bothered to keep its white lining well maintained, let alone see to it that vegetation is cut back. Not that it really matters, because only the most diehard cyclists would want to use convoluted and circuitous provision like this, which leads on to a lonely underpass labyrinth of crumbling cycle paths, broken lighting in tunnels, and scampering rats.
