Cycling safety appeal

Remember, if you are riding a bicycle you have a special responsibility to make yourself visible to drivers, many of whom are busy people sending or receiving important text messages, arranging appointments on the phone, or looking down at delivery lists while negotiating major road junctions. And don’t forget, the Crown Prosecution Service may well decide that “I just didn’t see the cyclist” is a perfectly valid reason for running a cyclist down.

As an important first step in personal survival, London cyclists should avoid parking their bicycles on stands in the vicinity of the Kings Cross gyratory system.
