Cycle lanes for the blind

This high quality cycle lane on High Road Leyton helpfully guides blind cyclists across the junction with Capworth Street, and leads in a straight line to the dropped kerb and the tactile surface on the pavement on the far side.

After pausing on the tactile paving, the blind cyclist will be sure to find a helpful local resident who will be able to position them for the next section of cycle lane, which leads on to the junction at the Bakers Arms. When the blind cyclist's front wheel connects with the rear of a motor vehicle, the cyclist will know that the Advanced Stop Line has been reached. Wait here for assistance before continuing.
